Gulf Oil Spill Satire: BP Disaster Inspires Hilarious Videos

With oil spill fatigue starting to set in, a little levity might be in order. Here are a few of our favorite funny video responses to the BP oil spill.

John Clarke and Bryan Dawe on oil spills and a struggling BP president. In this gem, the actor portraying the oil company president explains the proper response to take when disaster strikes. Here's an excerpt:

Interviewer: What are the regulations?
BP President: The what?

I: The regulations.
BP: (Looks off camera): Can you Google something for me quickly? Relegations.
I: No. Regulations.
BP: Google them both.

The funny folks over at the Upright Citizens Brigade take a look at what happens when BP execs spill coffee. Hilarity, and about a dozen different failed recovery efforts, ensues.

And finally for a clip from a guy who has been making us laugh since long before the spill began. Last week on the Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert argued that the Economist could’ve gone further to “really drive home the point that President Obama is a coast-destroying failure.” Oh, and he discovers that all it takes to solve the crisis in the Gulf is a few minutes with Photoshop.
